Legal Background

Ryan spent two years as junior counsel for the world’s biggest breakbulk shipper, before moving to private practice, where he specialized in cargo and yachts issues.

Ryan represented private equity and hedge/venture capital funds, counseling both managers and owners on fund formations, mergers, and sales, and SEC compliance.

Ryan’s current practice is primarily focused on Real Estate litigation, covering a wide range of legal issues arising from complex real estate transactions and disputes.

Ryan received degrees in Business and Economics from Pepperdine University, where he was a Regent Scholar and Dean’s List graduate. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was a Tennessee Law Scholar, Articles Editor for the Tennessee Law Review, and national Moot Court finalist.

Ryan has experience in funds law and maritime law, as well as real estate law. His current practice focuses on real estate litigation. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Arizona.

Ryan was born and raised in Scottsdale, so he feels at home in the firm’s office. Ryan enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his wife and their dogs.
