A Little Bit About Me

Joseph is an experienced litigator from his combined years of practice in New York and Arizona. He has handled all aspects of litigation including trial, appeals, arbitration, mediation and supplemental proceedings. He is admitted to practice in Arizona, before the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, and in New York, before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York. As an accomplished litigator, Joseph’s practice areas include commercial, real estate and tort litigation.

His representative engagements include: significantly reducing a defendant’s exposure in a jury trial concerning a fee sharing agreement; achieving success at trial in a construction dispute where the judge found the contractor’s conduct warranted suspension of the contractor’s license following Joseph’s effective presentation of the evidence; handling complex matters including Daubert motion practice in response to a title insurer’s request to exclude expert testimony in a dispute concerning the appraisal of property with and without a parking easement; a breach of a construction contract involving seven-figure claims arising from an elevator modernization project for residential buildings as well as a dispute over prevailing wages for laborers; a dispute between an employer and an independent contractor involving trade secrets; and a six-figure claim for breach of an employment contract.

Joseph is conversant in Italian. As a fan of sports, he enjoys attending sporting events and watching good competition. He also enjoys hitting topspin winners on the tennis court.
